Bible Baptist Church in Waxahachie needed a flooring upgrade. The old carpet had run its course - worn down from years of heavy foot traffic and the kind of daily use a busy church building sees week after week. They wanted something that looked sharp, held up long-term, and was easy to keep clean. That's a pretty common ask for commercial spaces, and luxury vinyl plank checks every box.

We pulled up the old carpet and padding - you can see the purple underlayment exposed mid-demo as the old floor came out in sections. Once the subfloor was prepped and clean, we got to work laying 6.5mm luxury vinyl plank throughout the space. The extra thickness on this product matters more than people realize. It adds rigidity underfoot, handles minor subfloor imperfections better, and gives the whole floor a more solid, high-end feel compared to thinner options.

The finished result is a warm, wood-look plank floor that runs wall to wall - including through the restroom area. Clean lines, tight seams, and a finish that holds up to mopping, cleaning products, and constant foot traffic without wearing out or trapping dirt the way carpet does. For a space that sees this much use, it's honestly the smarter long-term choice.

Carpet in commercial buildings tends to be an ongoing maintenance headache. Stains set in, odors build up, and eventually no amount of cleaning makes it look decent. LVP sidesteps all of that. It's simple to maintain, holds its appearance for years, and if a section ever gets damaged, individual planks can be replaced without redoing the whole floor. That kind of practicality is exactly why we recommend it for churches, offices, and other high-traffic commercial buildings.

If your building is sitting on tired carpet or outdated flooring, this is exactly the kind of work we do. Whether it's a single room or a full facility, we handle commercial flooring from start to finish - demo, prep, and installation.
