This one was a full gut-and-go. The living room had old hardwood that had seen better days, and the kitchen was still running on dated tile. The homeowner wanted something fresh, durable, and consistent across both spaces. That's where we came in.

Demo day is never pretty. We pulled up all the existing flooring down to the subfloor, leveled things out, and made sure the surface was clean and solid before a single plank went down. That prep work matters more than most people realize - skip it, and even great material won't lay right or last.

We went with 6.5mm luxury vinyl planks in Buckingham. It's a warm, neutral tone that works well with the existing walls and furniture without fighting for attention. The thickness on these planks also adds underfoot comfort and a little sound dampening, which you notice right away in a busy living space.

The install ran through the living room and into the kitchen - tying the two spaces together with one continuous floor. That kind of flow makes a home feel bigger and more intentional. Big shoutout to Luis and Sergio who put in the work and knocked this out clean from day one.

LVP is one of the most practical upgrades you can make in a high-traffic area. It handles moisture better than hardwood, cleans up easy, and holds up to daily life without looking worn in a few years. If your floors are overdue for an upgrade, this is exactly the kind of result you can expect.
