This one is still in progress - and we love sharing the work before it's done. There's something honest about showing the middle of a job. No filters, no finished product yet. Just the crew putting in real work on a solid hardwood floor installation inside what looks like a beautifully kept condo unit.

Omar and the team are deep into the nail-down process here. You can see the black felt underlayment laid across the subfloor - that's not just a detail, it actually matters. The underlayment acts as a moisture barrier and a sound buffer, which is especially important in a multi-unit building like this one. Skipping that step is how you end up with squeaky, unstable floors down the road.

The boards are being laid out in a staggered pattern before getting nailed off. That's intentional. Pre-staging the planks like that lets the crew work quickly while keeping the layout tight and consistent. Every board gets set, checked, and secured - one row at a time. It's methodical work, and there's no shortcut to doing it right.

Once the install is fully set, the floor gets sanded smooth and a stain goes down. That's the part that really shows off the wood grain and ties everything together with the room's design. We're not there yet - but that's the reveal everyone's waiting on. Stay tuned.

Solid hardwood floors like these add real long-term value to a home. They can be refinished multiple times over the years, which means you're not tearing everything out and starting over every decade. It's a durable, high-return investment - and when it's installed right from the start, it shows.
