This was a full carpet replacement across an entire two-story home in Plano. The old carpet was worn out and well past its life - you can see the bare, scuffed subfloor left behind after demo, from the main living area all the way up the staircase and into the upstairs hallway. Not exactly a welcoming sight. But that's exactly where we come in.

We went with 40 oz carpet paired with quality 1/2 inch 8 lb padding. That combination matters more than most people realize. The padding is what gives carpet that soft, cushioned feel underfoot - and 8 lb density means it holds up over time instead of breaking down after a year or two of foot traffic. It's the kind of spec choice that separates a carpet that looks good on day one from one that still feels great years down the road.

The scope here covered a lot of ground. Living room, staircase, upstairs hallway, master bedroom, walk-in closet - every carpeted space in the home got the same attention. Stairs are one of those areas where installation quality really shows. Each step has to be wrapped and secured cleanly, and the finished result here is tight and consistent all the way up.

What we ended up with is a home that feels completely different underfoot. The living room went from a rough, dusty concrete slab to a warm, comfortable space ready for furniture and family. Same story in the master bedroom and throughout the upstairs. The S&M team knocked this one out right, and this Plano homeowner walked away with a fresh start from the ground up.
