This Frisco home had worn carpet throughout multiple rooms - the kind that just makes a space feel dated no matter how clean it is. The homeowner wanted something cleaner, brighter, and more modern. So we pulled the carpet and got to work installing new wood flooring across the rooms.

What we ended up with is a pretty dramatic shift. The light, gray-toned laminate planks completely changed the feel of the larger rooms - the natural light bounces off the floor now in a way it never could with carpet. The whole space reads bigger and more open.

We also went with a rich, dark-toned wood option in one of the smaller rooms, which gave it a completely different personality - warmer and more grounded. That's one thing people don't always think about: you don't have to use the same flooring throughout the whole house. Different rooms can have different looks, and it works really well when the selections are intentional.

For the bedrooms, we kept fresh carpet - soft, clean, and neutral. It's a great combination. Hard flooring in the main living areas, carpet where comfort matters most. That mix is one of the most popular setups we do, and for good reason. It's practical and it just looks right.

Flooring is one of those upgrades that touches every single room. It sets the tone for the whole house. If your home still has older carpet that's seen better days, this kind of change is worth thinking about seriously - the difference it makes is hard to overstate.
