Carpet Tile and Broadloom Install at a McKinney Kids Facility

We just wrapped up a flooring job at a Kids R Kids location in McKinney - and this one had two different scopes going on at the same time. Part of the space got carpet tiles, and another section got broadloom carpet. Both needed to look clean, hold up to heavy daily use, and work for a facility full of kids.

Here's what we were working with on the tile side - a beat-up concrete subfloor with old adhesive residue scattered across it. Not pretty, but totally workable. Our crew laid the carpet tiles in an alternating pattern, which is a common choice for commercial spaces. It creates a subtle visual texture and also means that if one tile gets damaged down the road, you can swap it out without pulling the whole floor.

The broadloom sections tell a different story. That solid, wall-to-wall look gives the space a softer, more unified feel - which makes sense in areas where kids are sitting and moving around on the floor. Broadloom carpet is also great for sound absorption, which matters a lot in a busy childcare environment.
